Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to work in a busy and constantly changing environment on construction sites
  • Follow all company and MIOSHA safety rules
  • Work with various hand tools
  • Stationing and setting joints, to make sure of proper alignment
  • Maintain consistent quality and texture in handwork
  • Assure overall job drainage
  • Assist in handwork, prep work, and cleanup as directed
  • Operate small engine machines to assist in compaction, preparation, and installation of material
  • Be able to communicate with all positions of the workforce
  • Exhibit honesty and trustworthiness
  • Possess good verbal and written communication skills

Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Reliable transportation
  • Experience in construction is preferred, specifically working with concrete

Pay and Benefits:

This position is a union position. Benefits are in line with the Michigan Laborers Union Agreement. The starting pay for experienced drivers is $32.02/hour with overtime opportunities.

Work Environment/Physical Abilities:

The physical abilities of this position require that an employee is able to frequently sit, stand, climb, stoop, squat, kneel, and bend for extended periods of time. This may also require carrying, pushing/pulling, dexterity of hands and fingers, seeing, hearing, and talking. Lifting requirements may include up to 50 pounds.
