Healthcare Registered Apprenticeship Programs
Talent shortages and increasing skill demands have made it difficult to keep pace with growing demand. With these facts in mind, Macomb/St. Clair Michigan Works! and local Employers, Training Providers, and Sponsors are working toward registering 300 apprentices in the healthcare industry.
How are registered apprenticeships different from traditional medical training?
Traditionally, employers must wait for students to gain access to and graduate from training programs to hire and onboard them. Registered apprenticeship starts with Employers selecting candidates to hire, then sending those new staff members to a preferred training provider. Apprenticeship allows students to work in a healthcare setting, earning a wage while they attend classes.
