The CNC Setup Technician performs setups, troubleshoots, offsets, tool changes, etc. on assigned CNC machines.
Functions
- Adjust specified programs, tooling, and stops to control stock and tool movements
- Review machine programming and make changes and adjustments as needed
- Perform machine troubleshooting, and ask for assistance from manufacturing engineer technicians when needed
- Monitor backup tooling
- Set up the necessary tooling, gaging, and benches for assigned jobs and perform tool changes/offsets
- Maintains safe operations by following all safety procedures and regulations
- Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
