Healthcare Registered Apprenticeship Programs
Talent shortages and increasing skill demands have made it difficult to keep pace with growing demand. With these facts in mind, Macomb/St. Clair Michigan Works! and local Employers, Training Providers, and Sponsors are working toward registering 300 apprentices in the healthcare industry.
How are registered apprenticeships different from traditional medical training?
Traditionally, employers must wait for students to graduate from training programs to hire and onboard them. Registered apprenticeship starts with Employers like you selecting the candidates you want to hire, then sending those new staff members to the training provider you prefer. Apprenticeship allows your staff to work in a healthcare setting, earning a wage while they attend classes.
- Highly Skilled Employees – Grow your staff to be fully proficient in their occupation
- Reduced Turnover – Apprenticeship boasts 80% staff retention 5 years after program completion
- Access to State and Federal Grant Funds to offset training costs
