Service Technician

NOXMAT USA Inc. is an internationally active manufacturer of heating systems for use in heat treatment plants in the iron and non-ferrous metal industry. Our core competences are the development and production as well as the worldwide sales and service of industrial gas burners, electric heating elements and furnace components.

We are looking for field service technicians to service our North American customers

Our service employees are scheduled by the central coordination for the assignment at the customer site. Each service employee is provided with a vehicle, also for private use, as well as tools, measuring devices and equipment for installation work and customer support.

Your tasks:

• Assembling and starting up burners and electric heating elements in heat treatment plants, performing initial start-up, testing, optimizing, and adjusting functions, performing acceptance testing, explaining functions to the customer.
• Maintain and troubleshoot burners and electric heating elements and systems, determine technical condition of the equipment and systems, advise customers on preventive maintenance, give advice on improvements, perform agreed services according to service contracts
• Determine scope of damage and needed repair work, record shortfalls, diagnose and specify faults, analyze malfunctions, suggest remedies, carry them out yourself if possible
• Prepare or complete reports and logs and ensure compliance with safety regulations and deadlines
• Flexible work schedule, as each technician is self organized. Regular schedules can be self determined but usually schedules run 4 day per week at 10 hours or 5 days per week at 8 hours depending on rules and regulations at our customers work site.

Your profile:

• Two-year technical college education preferred but not mandatory. In-depth training will be given on the job and potentially at our headquarters in Germany
• Market and product knowledge desirable but skills can be trained
• Knowledge of MS-Office
• Good command of English with other languages being an advantage
• Willingness to travel throughout the continental United States
• Clean driving license and record

Our offer:
